  • Doodling Around

“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” – Pablo Picasso

To help fill the time and space created by the spread of covid-19, L Ross Gallery is launching their “Doodling Around” project. We will be posting “doodles” by our artists that we invite you to print out and color. When you are done, we’d love to see your creations! Please post them on social media and tag our artists and gallery. Our best to everyone during these difficult times. We hope these brighten your day a bit and help to keep us all connected through art. Happy coloring!

Let your colors wander around this fanciful village which, she says, started with a tiny drawing of a piece of an airplane seat.

Did you know that in addition to her many fine art talents (watercolor, oil, charcoal pencil, etc.), Jeanne Seagle also used to illustrate News of the Weird? Today’s doodle is a throwback to those quirky days, with some rather beguiling bovines.

  • Flights of Fancy

Lisa Jennings has been on a magical journey as an artist for the past 20 plus years, combining materials she has loved since childhood—rock, paper, and wood—into modern primitive paintings and sculptures.

“My art is a reflection of the peace that I maintain in my life from being outdoors. There is that childlike contentment, my connection to earth and the organic theme is that is forever a calming factor and the curiosity for the viewer. As a person wonders and looks deeper so is the spirit set free…”

Let your creativity take flight with Lisa’s fun owl and bird doodles. Print out the PDFs and start coloring. When you are done, we’d love to see your creations! Please post and tag @lisajenningsart @lrossgallerymemphis.
